National Historic Sites and Monuments, NB

Map of National Historic Sites NB

Updated 19 March, 2023.

Ten years I have lived in New Brunswick.  In that time frame, I have traveled around most of New Brunswick, getting to know it thoroughly.   A while back I wrote East Coast Bucket List,  and part of it was finding and documenting National Historic sites.

I am happy to say I have  finally got The Seal Cove Smoked Herring Stands, on Grand Manan, however, If Fort Jemseq, has a monument at its location, I have not been able to find it. I have been to the coordinates several times but found no marker or plaque. I don’t have a picture for a Saint Luke’s Anglican Church in Quispamsis, or Chipman Hill, in Saint John but I have been to both.  LA Coupe Dry Dock in Aulac, remains unfounded. I’ll give it another try this summer.

I Hope you will try this  excellent historical treasure hunt around the province. Here is the list:

  1. Wow, that is quite the collection of historical landmarks, Kelly. You’ve done a great job, and as I have followed along, you seem to have a great time in the process. Impressive photos. Fun sculptures on the Prince William Streetscape. Sorry to hear about your leg. –Curt
