“The international high-speed ferry service between Bar Harbor, Maine, and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, is planned to resume in May 2022. ”
I took this ferry route long ago when I was in my twenties, Lovely voyage. I don’t see a schedule to Portland as you thought , but I will keep looking best regards Kelly

    1. It’s 3.5 hrs from Bar Harbour Maine, which is much faster than driving. I enjoyed my voyage on it many years ago. The community of Yarmouth, realize on it’s tourists so last few seasons have been hard on business in the area. I don’t usually give business recommendations but I this once for the reopenng. I’ll give them a little plug 👍

  1. Thank you for letting us all know the ferry’s functional again! I took its predecessor decades ago, to meet up with a sloop and sail back to Mt. Desert, and loved it – whales and all! It’s faster now, with the cat, and I may consider taking it up if I head back to PEI this summer.
